ROTATOR UV LAMP REFLECTOR HOUSING: Shutter Alternative
Shuttered lamp housings have been used for as a means of quickly eliminating UV exposure without shutting off your UV Light, permitting rapid restart of your equipment again. Without a shutter, most UV Arc lamps would need to be powered off, requiring a lengthy cooldown and restart proceedure, which wastes significant amounts of production time in a day.

Unfortunately, there are engineering limitations to conventional shutter designs, making them less durable and reliable for lamp housings wider than 25 inch arc lengths. Furthermore, standard shutter designs are difficult or in some cases impossible to incorporate in some of our more unique yet popular reflector geometries.

The CON-TROL-CURE®ROTATOR UV LAMP REFLECTOR HOUSING is an innovative solution for shuttering Lighthouse irradiators in any length. By pivoting the entire inner housing, we are redirecting the focus of the UV Lamp away from the substrate. In this Standby/Park position, power to the lamp is reduced to the lowest setting, eliminating potential overheating of the irradiator.

This rotation occurs within a secondary housing that acts as a light trap, preventing unintentional exposure to other areas of the equipment or substrate and effectively protecting the operator. The Rotator can be used with any of our Lighthouse lamp housing designs, regardless of length or size.
